Gabo: The Creation of Gabriel García Márquez was Horne Productions' first international feature documentary co-production.
The film explores the life of the Nobel Prize-winning artist who changed the course of 20th Century literature. The film shows the discreet but influential role García Márquezplayed in relations with Cuba, the US and Colombia during the Colombian peace processes and, in particular, the importance of his close friendships with President Clinton and Fidel Castro.
Gabo was nominated for Best Arts Documentary at the 2016 International Emmys and can be found on Netflix, Amazon, and iTunes. The film was produced by a co-production between JWProductions, Horne Productions and Ronachan Films, and co-written by director Justin Webster and producer Kate Horne.
